Malloy, III Diversity Studies Room grew out of the Libraries' African American Studies Room, which resided in Pattee Library prior to the library expansion project completed in 2000. As part of this extensive renovation of Pattee Library and creation of the new Paterno Library, the University Libraries envisioned a larger, more usable, and more centrally-located space dedicated to diversity studies."
