Sede di Roma

La Sapienza Libraries in Rome

Even if you still can't conjugate "essere," you should still try to visit at least one of these Italian libraries as part of your semester in Rome. A few have staff members who speak English, if not, please refer to the Italian Phrases for Library Users guide that we have compiled for your use.

The University of Rome-La Sapienza has an architecture program and a system of Architecture Department related libraries. You are authorized to consult materials at most of these while at the Sede di Roma. This has been verified either from their online usage policies or directly by the individual libraries' staff, so know that you are welcome. Below we’ve listed those branches which are most conveniently located and two others that are likely to be useful. You may also be directed to other branches by library staff.

You can search all of La Sapienza’s architecture libraries at once (in English!) via La Sapienza’s online catalog: http://opac.uniroma.it/
For instructions on using their online catalog, click here

You can also search all of La Sapienza’s architecture libraries using the Italian union catalog of all Italian libraries at: http://www.internetculturale.it
