Biographical Information
The library contains numerous sources containing brief biographies of individuals. The best way to tell if the person you are interested in is profiled in one of the biographical encyclopedias and dictionaries is to use the following sources:
- Biography and Genealogy Master Index
- Research Guide to European Historical Biography, 1450-present. Call # CT759.R47 Arts and Humanities Library, Reference Collection, 2nd Floor Pattee.
These indexes will tell you if a person has been profiled and in what source the profile appears. You will then need to search the CAT to determine if we own the biographical source.
