MultiSearch is a new search tool available from the Penn State Libraries. It enables users to simultaneously search various combinations of databases and resources, and then receive the results in a unified display
- Setting
up email alerts in databases:
The Catalog (The CAT)
The online catalog of materials owned by Penn State Libraries.
All formats (books, journals, audiovisuals, maps, recordings,
etc.) are included. Circulation status for individual items
also provided. Coverage: Presently contains about 2 million
titles
Ebsco
Host: subject search alert
This is
a suite of databases provided by Ebsco Host, and it includes
a wide range of databases, such as: TOC Premier, Professional
Development Collection, BookSource: Nonfiction, Communication & Mass
Media Complete, American Bibliography of Slavic and East European
Studies (ABSEES), GLBT Life with Full Text
ERIC
subject search alert
The ERIC database is the world's largest source of education
information, containing over one million abstracts on education
research and practice.
ProQuest: subject alert
ProQuest:
publication alert
ProQuest Direct indexes 5,000+ magazines, journals, and newspapers. It contains Full text (word file with no photos or tables) or images (looks like real paper publication) to over 2,000 journals, and Full text to 150+ newspapers
PsycArticles
subject search alert
PsycARTICLES is a database
of full-text articles from journals published ONLY by American
Psychological Association, and related APA partners
Sociological Abstracts: subject search alert
Index for English language journals in Sociology, Social Work, and other Social Sciences. Provides abstracts for articles and is international in scope.
