The Energy and Utility industry is an overarching industry comprised of numerous industry sectors and sub-sectors providing aspects of a finished service - the generation of electricity, fuel, and power for commercial, industrial, and residential use. Three major sectors integrally involved are mining (natural resources extraction), utility system construction (permanent distribution lines and related buildings and structures for utilities), and utilities (distribution and generation of power and water).
