The Index includes only obituaries or death notices included in the obituary section of the Centre Daily Times, 1937-1995 & 2010-2011, and does not include news stories about deaths that appeared in other sections.
The Index can be searched by Last Name, First Name, Maiden Name, or Obituary Date Range. Obituary images, in the Index, are available from 2010. *Selected obituaries, 1996-2012, are available through Access World News (Newsbank) [PSU access only].
For other years, the complete obituary can be viewed on the Centre Daily Times, Call Number: Microfilm E15, located in the News & Microforms Library (UP). The year, month, day and page number information is needed to locate the obituary on microfilm.
Obituary Name Search
Enter names in any or all of the name fields.
To increase search results:
Only a last name or maiden name, not both,
Alternate spellings of last names (e.g.: Smith, Smyth, Smythe)
Use a wildcard (*). (e.g Han* returns Hannon, Haney, Hanna, etc.)
To reduce search results:
