The collection contains five letters from Norton, and one "Carte-de- Visite" by John & Charles Watkins, London. Norton writes on 25 October 1831 to Mr. [Charles] Kemble asking him to obtain a copy of the songs in the
Gipsy Father from Mr. Stansbury; on 24 October 1845 to [R. Fisher] her publisher complimenting him on the appearance of her book and asking him to send out two more copies to her friends. She writes [1847] to the editor of the
Fine Arts Journal sending her compliments and disclaiming knowledge of review copies of her book
Ballads; ca. 1853 to Mr. Terol about the injustices of the laws respecting women in England and asking him to shorten it for her privately printed pamphlet, "english laws for women in the nineteenth century
" (1853).
