Historical Collections
and Labor Archives welcomes patron inquiries and encourages researchers
to examine and use the collections and materials comprising the
Eighth Air Force Archive. Researchers interested in learning more
about the holdings and specific subject content of the Archive
should direct their inquiries to the staff of the HCLA. A preliminary
inventory to the processed record groups and series of the Archive
is available upon request. Researchers are advised that the processing
of the Archive is on-going. Additional guides to Eighth Air Force
Archive collections will be prepared, updated, and made accessible
via links to this web page in EAD format. The Eighth Air Force
Archive book holdings may be accessed via the Penn State University
Librairies'on-line catalog (LIAS "THE CAT"). Visiting researchers
are encouraged to contact HCLA in advance of their visit for information
about gaining access to the Eighth Air Force collections and materials
they wish to research. Historical Collections is open to the public
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information
