Penn State DuBois Campus Library How Do I? |
Get a library card?
If you are a Penn State student, faculty or staff member, your student or
faculty id is your library card. If you are a non-PSU patron, you must stop at
the circulation desk to get a card.
Register to borrow books?

fill out a registration card. This will be good as long as you are at Penn
State. If your address changes, you will need to notify the Libraries either in
person or online by going to
My
Library Account and clicking on Update
Address.
Find books on a topic?
To find books, use The CAT located on the University Libraries' web page at http://www.libraries.psu.edu.
Order materials from another Penn State campus?
When you see a description of the individual book displayed on the CAT screen,
check the top of the screen for the I WANT IT button. Click that button
and fill in the requested information. This will not work on a screen that lists
several books; you must be at the Single Item Display screen describing an individual book. In order
to take out books you will need to be registered with the University Libraries.
Order materials from another University?
As a Penn State student, faculty or staff member, you can request materials not available at Penn State. To request materials from other universities, order from PALCI. If you cannot find the material from this source, you will need to request the item through ILLIAD.
How do I recall a book if someone else already has it checked out?
Materials already checked out are subject to recall after the current borrower has held them for seven days. The library will allow an additional ten days of use after it sends a recall notice. To recall a book from the single item display screen, click on I WANT IT and enter the information requested just as you would for a normal reserve.
