This section focuses on test information in the Penn State Libraries. For more detailed information, see the excellent "FAQ-Finding Information about Psychological Tests" prepared by the American Psychological Association - http://www.apa.org/science/faq-findtests.html
Individual psychological and achievement tests are not available in the Libraries because of issues involving authority to administer tests, security, etc. Reference information such as summaries, abstracts, reviews, publisher data, and other details about the instrument is available in the resources listed below. This review / reference information is almost always sufficient for undergraduate research needs.
Undergraduate students rarely have the need to obtain copies of tests. Tests are copyrighted, and manuals and scoring keys are also necessary. Tests may be purchased through several methods:
Directories / Test Reviews (Titles with * are the primary sources to identify test information)
Use these sources to find test references, review, a particular test, type of test, and test publishers. Reviews often discuss reliability, validity, research history, intended populations, stated purposes, and professional usage, and acronyms.
