you Know...
ID Plus/Lion Cash self service copiers are available in the room immediately to the left of the entrance to the Engineering Library. To add money to your card, go to ID+ Card An exit security system will sound an alarm if you try to leave one of the libraries with books that are not charged out properly. If the alarm sounds please present all library materials for examination when requested to do so. Sometimes books bought at local stores will trip the alarm. Staff can desensitize these books for you. Library Employment--Enquire at the Libraries' Office of Human Resources (511 Paterno ). See web site for more information. Change is available in the Engineering Library at the Circulation Desk. Lost and Found items are held at the circulation desk in the Engineering Library.
If there is too much information on your subject, you may
have to limit your topic and focus your research. If there is very
little information, you will have to broaden your topic. Other
sources in the Libraries contain biographical, statistical and
geographical information as well as book reviews, conference
proceedings, theses, technical reports, patents, and government
publications. A guide to the literature may be available for your
subject area. Additionally, you should consult a reference
librarian.
PLEASE NOTE: The library does not own these machines and cannot refill the paper or give refunds. The machines are owned by Nittany Office Equipment. Copying can be done by library staff. For this service you will need to fill in an IDT, which is available in the Library. Then locate the item to be copied, mark the pages and leave at the circulation desk. This service normally takes 24 hours, although it may take longer if the unit is especially busy. The cost for this service is $.25 per page. You may pay in cash or it may be billed to your budget if you have one and mark the form with the correct billing information. Microfiche and microfilm may be copied at the reader/printers in the Engineering Library.
