The Gateway Library READ Poster Project

The Gateway Library began its READ poster project by featuring people from the various groups we serve to:

• highlight the diversity of our patrons,
• encourage literacy,
• promote our library as a friendly and welcoming place, and
• increase awareness of the programs and units that the models represent.

The project has also created outreach opportunities and networking liaisons between the Gateway Library and other units throughout the University.

For the past twenty years, The America Library Association (ALA) has designed similar READ posters featuring national celebrities.
