SAIL:
Student-Athletes in Libraries

SAIL (Student-Athletes in Libraries) is an outreach program sponsored by the University Libraries with the goal of assisting Penn State’s student athletes in the use of library resources. The program was developed in conjunction with the Morgan Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes. Founders of SAIL are Gary White, Business Library and Daniel Mack, Arts & Humanities Library. Ashley Robinson, formerly of the Gateway Library, was also instrumental in founding this project.

Each fall, SAIL librarians hold hands-on instructional sessions for all incoming freshman athletes. Librarians are also available throughout the academic year for individual research mentoring in person and via email and instant messenger. Email Dan Mack at dmack@psu.edu for more information.
