The Earth and Mineral Sciences Library


The Fletcher L. Byrom Earth and Mineral Sciences Library is located on the first floor of Deike Building, near the corner of Pollock and Burrowes Road. Established in 1930 to support the School of Mineral Industries, the library supports the research and teaching of faculty and students in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, which encompasses the fields of geography, meteorology, geosciences, materials sciences and engineering, energy, geo-environmental engineering, and industrial health and safety. The library houses a sizable collection of geologic maps in addition to an extensive collection of books, journals, and other resources.
