The Diversity Action Council is charged with facilitating and shepherding diversity within the Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies. The DAC consists of faculty, staff, and students, and has a rich history of providing a variety of activities and critical information to all stakeholder groups concerning diversity within the Penn State Great Valley community.

Created in July 1990, the Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity was originally charged to foster diversity at Penn State. In 2001 the mission expanded to support educational access for targeted groups of low-income, potential first-generation college students both here at Penn State and at sites throughout the state.

The Commission on Racial/Ethnic Diversity (CORED) was appointed in 1989 as a University-wide advisory body to the president of Penn State in matters relating to racial and ethnic diversity. The Commission is dedicated to enhancing the University's climate for diversity at all its locations in the Commonwealth.

Created in 1991, the Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Equity is an advisory group to the President.
