Course Reserves:
- Electronic Course Reserves can be opened for reading or printing:
- You can access your Course Reserves via ANGEL
- or click on Course Reserves when using the online Catalog (CAT)
- Books on reserve are located in the Great Valley Library at the Reserve Desk, please see the Library staff for assistance. Most books on materials circulate for a 7-day period.

Interlibrary Loans - ILLIAD
Materials that are not available at Great Valley or within Penn State may be requested via interlibrary loan using ILLIAD at https://ill.libraries.psu.edu/

Interlibrary Loans - ILLiad
ILLiad is the electronic system you use to request an item through Interlibrary Loan. The ILLiad logon screen's URL is https://ill.libraries.psu.edu/
ILLiad Registration
For detailed instructions on how to register with ILLiad click here. If you need further assistance, please call the Penn State Great Valley Library at 610-648-3215.
Use ILLiad only for:
1. Requesting books NOT owned by Penn State:
- Before using ILLiad, first search the online catalog (CAT) to see if Penn State owns the item you need, if so, click the I WANT IT button.
- You can also try searching for the book in the database WorldCat
- Once you have found the book you want, click on the link Send Request to ILLiad; your request will go into your ILLiad account. (You must first register with ILLiad.)
2. Requesting articles from journals NOT available online in full text:
- Before using ILLiad, first see if the journal is available in full text. Go to Find E-Journal and type in the title of the journal.
3. Requesting articles from journals NOT available in the Great Valley library:
- Before using ILLiad, first search the online catalog (CAT) to see if Great Valley has the volume/issue number of the journal you need, if so, you can make a copy of the article in the library.

Wireless @ the Library
To connect your laptop to the wireless LAN, you will need the following:
- An active Penn State Access Account
- An 802.11b or 802.11g wireless capable laptop
- Download the VPN (Virtual Private Network)
- And be within range of an access point
To configure the VPN client, create a new connection with the following properties:
- VPN server: mobility.hbg.psu.edu
- Group name: pennstate
- Group password: pennstate
