The Librarians in the University Libraries have prepared a number of course-specific web pages designed to provide students with information resources appropriate for specific course projects requiring information-gathering skills. These web pages are customized to provide print and electronic resources that students may not know how to use or locate in the University Libraries or on the web. Frequently, the librarians who prepare these pages also provide course-integrated lectures that can provide additional information about research methods and specific information resources. Course-specific pages are most successful when the librarian and the teaching faculty work together in advance to design the assignment to achieve the desired information-gathering outcomes. If you would like assistance preparing similar pages, contact your Subject Librarian or Campus Librarian. Examples of research guides in a variety of disciplines are located on the Research Guides by Subject page. Examples of research guides for specific courses are located on the Research Guides by Course page. In addidtion, course or discipline specific web guides can be attached to your ANGEL course to help your students find resources related to your course. Look for a guide under the "Tools" tab in your ANGEL course under "Custom Library Guides". If you do not find a guide, or would prefer one that is more specific, please contact the librarian on the guide or email angel_guides@psulias.psu.edu
