Can I get books, articles and other materials from other universities? (Ohio State, Michigan, Yale, etc.)
Yes. Use Interlibrary Loan to obtain materials that are not available at Penn State. Through Interlibrary Loan (or ILL), you can borrow materials from libraries across the U.S., and internationally. Requests are placed through ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan's record management system), available at https://ill.libraries.psu.edu/.
From ILLiad you will be able to:
- Request materials (books, articles, dissertations, etc…)
- Check on the status of your request
- Ask for a renewal
- View your request history
- View your electronically delivered articles
Once you have registered on ILLiad, you can directly place Interlibrary loan requests from several databases listed on the E-Resource A-Z List.
Interlibrary Loan policies and procedures may be viewed online at http://www.libraries.psu.edu/tas/ill. See also the Interlibrary Loan Frequently Asked Questions page, http://www.libraries.psu.edu/tas/ill/faq.htmSearch
