Welcome. This site is a guide to the materials housed in the Pennsylvania State University Libraries. Dr. Leon R. Kneebone Mushroom Reference Collection.

The collection includes works on the economics, cultivation and culinary uses of mushrooms and the history and mythology of mushrooms. The Kneebone Collection complements the many rare and illustrated volumes located in the Special Collections Library as well as the resources housed in the Life Sciences Library. The Kneebone Collection was created as a working library for researchers in all fields of mushroom cultivation and mycology.

About:
The Collection is comprised of books, journals, several Penn State mycology dissertations, and article reprints. There is a regional emphasis on materials from the Pennsylvania area. The Special Collections Library located on the First Floor of the Paterno Library houses Dr. Kneebone's papers and correspondence. Click here to view the CAT record.
