of paper maps in the state. From local topographic maps, to obscure
foreign atlases, the Library's holdings cover the globe both present and
past.

The Maps Library holds Atlases from all over the globe, both modern
and historical.
Topographic
Maps
Topographic maps can be used to view relief. Topographic maps are available
for every continent and for most countries. The scale on these maps range
from 1:24,000 to 1:5,000,000.
Aeronautical
and Nautical Charts
Aeronautical and Nautical Charts emphasize detail that aids navigation.
These charts have almost global coverage with a scale range from 1:500,000
to 1:5,000,000.
Road
Maps
Indicate motorable roads with distances in kilometers and/or miles,
place names and various other features of interest to the traveller.
Old
Parcel Maps / Land Ownership Maps
These maps display real estate tracts and sometimes, owner names.
Land-use
Maps
These maps show residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural,
forest, mining, and public use information for locales around the world
and at varying level of scale.
