VN spent a week here in the autumn of 1932, during his first trip to visit Paris from Berlin, in the flat of his cousin Baron Rausch who had another guest at the same time. It proved inconvenient and Nabokov soon moved to the Fondaminskis. In the first picture we see the yard as VN saw it on November 5 when he arrived; in the second, we see him leaving (note the famous "collapsible" traveling tub).
