Library Service Advisories
Restricted CAT Service, 5/10-12/20080
The CAT will be migrating to a new server during a period beginning at approximately 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10 and ending approximately 6:00 a.m. Monday, May 12. During this period The CAT will be in "read-only" mode, and circulation-related features (renewals, My Library Account, I Want It, My Favorites, Tell Me When) will be inoperative. The Libraries' Web site and Emblem Book Project site will be UNAVAILABLE for approximately one hour beginning at 5:00 p.m. Saturday. May 10. No other databases will be affected by this necessary maintenance work. We regret any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
Web Access Available in the CAT, 5/4/2006-
On Monday, May 8, 2006, the Libraries converted to WebAccess authentication for features such as I Want It, My Library Account, My Favorites, etc. that require a login in The CAT.
Penn State students, faculty and staff continue to login in with their PSU Access ID and password. However, non-Penn Staters registered with the University Libraries, e.g., community borrowers, will no longer be able to authenticate using their last name and nine-digit library card number, but will need a Friends of Penn State account to access CAT services that require authentication.
