University Park, PA—Saturday, September 29, the University Libraries hosts special activities for Penn State's Parents and Family Day.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., tours of Pattee and Paterno Library depart on the hour from the Original Nittany Lion display at the Pattee Library entrance. Highlights include both digital and traditional collections and visits to the Arts and Humanities Library, the Life Sciences Library, and a behind the scenes look at how Lending Services move books throughout the Libraries.

The tour ends in the Special Collections Library, 104 Paterno Library, which is holding an open house 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Highlights in Special Collections include the current exhibit, "100th Anniversary of Landscape Architecture Education at Penn State;" copies of La Vie yearbook, dating 1906 to 2006; and materials from Penn State University Archives, Historical Collections and Labor Archives, and Rare Books and Manuscripts.

An open house, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Schreyer Business Library, third floor Paterno Library, includes a presentation of the materials, electronic resources, and services that support business students. Visitors are urged to see the "Career Corner," which assists all Penn State students in their career exploration. For more information, call 814-865-6369.
