Collegian Exhibit Reveals Penn State's Past

University Park, PA—Readers can explore 120 years of Penn State history through the pages of the Daily Collegian in an exhibition at Robb Hall, Hintz Alumni Center. Collegian Chronicles is on display through June 8, and features headlines, bylines, and events that have proven memorable for Penn State alumni. The exhibit was developed by the University Archives and is curated by Alston Turchetta, archives assistant.

The exhibit complements a book recently released by the Collegian Alumni Interest Group titled The Collegian Chronicles: A History of Penn State from the Pages of the Daily Collegian, 1887–2006. Drawing from hundreds of photos from the newspaper and within the collections of the Penn State University Archives, the book reflects the recollections of ninety former Collegian writers, editors, and business managers. It provides a new and different way to look at Penn State history.

Additional information about the exhibit or the collections of the University Archives can be requested from Jackie Esposito, University Archivist, 814-865-7931 or jxe2@psu.edu.
