Arrigo Appointed Head of Penn State Shenango Library

University Park, PA -- Paul Arrigo is the new head of Lartz Memorial Library, Penn State Shenango. He joins the University Libraries with more than ten years of academic library experience. Before coming to Penn State, he served as both reference coordinator and government documents and electronic services librarian at the Washburn University School of Law Library, Kansas. He was also reference librarian at Texas State Library.

As head of the Shenango library, Arrigo's primary goal is to market the library's services to students, faculty, and the community of Sharon, Pennsylvania. He will also provide bibliographic instruction to the students via the Web and through classroom demonstrations.

In the near future, Arrigo will work with his staff to draft a strategic plan, using Penn State Shenango's plan as a basis, to "provide continuity to the library and give staff and faculty a common set of goals to unite behind," Arrigo said.

Arrigo earned a B.A. in theology from Creighton University, Nebraska, and an M.L.I.S. from the University of Texas at Austin.
