Hands-on Engineering Resources Seminar

University Park, PA -- The University Libraries' Engineering Library is offering the hands-on seminar "Engineering Resources" on Wednesday, March 20, 2002, from 4:00–6:00 p.m., in the Instructional Lab of the Pollock Laptop Library, on Pollock Road.

Open to all students, faculty, staff, and the public, this interactive seminar will explore databases, full-text resources, and Web sites available for research in the various engineering fields. Learn to search The CAT, the Libraries' online catalog, and Fast Track databases, such as Compendex, NTIS (National Technical Information Services), and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), to find useful engineering information.

This class is part of the Subject Seminars series, organized by Libraries' Instructional Programs to teach how to use various databases and access subject-specific reference materials. For a list of other classes in the series, visit www.libraries.psu.edu/crsweb/instruction/ip/subject_sems.htm.
