Libraries Offer Seminar on Finding Historical News Sources
University Park, PA -- The Penn State University Libraries' Arts and Humanities Library is offering the seminar
"Snapshots in Time: Finding and Using Historical News Sources" on Friday, April 12, 2002, from 10:00Î11:30 a.m. in Foster Auditorium,
101 Pattee Library, University Park campus.
Documenting the daily events of the world, newspapers serve as important research tools; however, finding specific information is often difficult and time
consuming. "Snapshots in Time" will demonstrate the methods and tools necessary to effectively locate articles of interest. The seminar will discuss the
Libraries' newspaper collection as well as ones from across the country and online.
This class is part of the Subject Seminars series, organized by Libraries' Instructional Programs to teach how to use various databases and access
