Libraries Announce ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research

University Park, PA -- The ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research) 2003 Summer Training Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research offers a comprehensive, integrated program of studies in research design, statistics, data analysis, and social methodology. The program, which serves consortium member colleges and universities, including Penn State, emphasizes courses and subjects that are not normally integral parts of the curricula of member institutions, due to their specialized nature.

Full information, including a catalog and application, is now available at www.icpsr.umich.edu/sumprog/. New features of the Web site include a "search" function (to find specific courses), a "help" button (to ask personalized questions about courses), and a "secure" site to transmit credit card payment.

Many of the courses fill up quickly.

For more information about the program, contact Stephen Woods, Penn State University Libraries, at swoods@psu.edu, call 734-763-7400 or go to the Web site above.
