Pattee Library

Two beautifully embroidered Japanese ceremonial kimonos are on display in Pattee Library 2nd floor, west, in glass cases donated by CCOR.NET.

The permanent Original Nittany Lion exhibit is located in the Pattee Library Main Entrance Lobby. The specimen on display was killed in Susquehanna County in 1856 and it is the only mounted eastern mountain lion in Pennsylvania.
The "Addams Family Holiday" oil painting by Charles Addams, creator of the Addams Family cartoon series, is on the ground floor of west Pattee. It is a gift of Doris and Walter C. Goldstein.

Original Nittany Lion
"The Dawn of Magic" by Laurie dill-Kocher is on display in the Lending Services lobby on the first floor of central Pattee, funded by a gift from Michael '71 BA and '73 MPA and Cynthia Evanisko.





Pattee Bust
The bust of Fred Lewis Pattee is located near the entrance to Foster Auditorium, 101 Pattee Library. It was donated in 1956 by The Class of 1911.

Fred Waring's America
waring mixer cartoon
Fred Waring's Ameria, third floor, Pattee Library, contains historical memorabilia reflecting Fred Waring's nearly seventy-year career as a choral conductor and showman, and includes more than 10,000 recordings. Waring also loved comic strips, and among the many treasures of this eclectic collection are 650 pieces of original cartoon artwork by leading cartoonists.
