An Electronic Image Newspaper is a page image edition of current daily editions of newspapers from around the world. They are fully searchable and typically also include page-turning features. Great for people who like to read a newspaper online, not a newspaper website, or who want to study page layout, need advertisements, photographs, cartoons, or other visual content. Two databases available to researchers with a Penn State Access Account:
- Newsbank: Electronic Image Newspapers Coverage starts in March 2006
includes 2 titles: al-Hayat and El País (current issues). There are historical issues of Le Monde (March 1, 2006 to October 3, 2007) and Die Welt (March 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006). - PressDisplay Current issues through a 60 day back issue access
includes more than 500 newspapers from 70 countries in 37 languages.
