
Lisa is the Associate Dean for Collections, Information and Access Services. Major responsibilities include administration of Access Services, Cataloging and Metadata Services, Collection Development, the Department for Information Technologies (I-Tech), Reference, Collections, and Research (Subject Libraries), and Serials and Acquisitions Services. Lisa is responsible for the successful planning, organization, policy development, implementation, assessment, and direction of all aspects of these areas and is a member of the Dean’s administrative team.
Overall responsibilities include developing strategic directions in collaboration with associate and assistant deans, department heads, subject specialists, and campus librarians throughout the library system; fostering effective working relationships with library and academic colleagues; enhancing and assessing service quality and operational efficiency; and playing a leadership role in library-wide planning initiatives. Lisa represents the Libraries in a wide range of consortia and partnerships at the state, regional, and national levels.
Lisa participated in the Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians at Harvard University in 2009, Penn State IT Leaders Program in 2008-2009, Leadership Centre County in 2008 and the Association of Research Libraries' (ARL) Research Library Leadership Fellows Program in 2004-2006.
Lisa has a BA in History and a master's degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
