Architect A. William Hajjar's impact on State College is well known to those familiar with the West College Heights and Holmes-Foster neighborhoods. During his tenure as a member of the Penn State Architecture Faculty during the 1950s and early 60s, Hajjar designed and built over 30 houses and handful of office and apartment buildings in the State College area.
In the Fall of 2004, the Centre County Historical Society hosted the exhibit, "Hajjar Heritage: A Centre Region Treasure", assembled by Robert E. Malcom with input from architectural historian Richard Porter, Ph.D and Anne Snowdon, whose family commissioned one of Hajjar's houses.
This site was created by Will Lesieutre in 2008 and is currently hosted by the Penn State University Libraries. The content of this site is also duplicated in the three volume set: "Hajjar Heritage : a Centre Region Treasure" in the University Libraries collection.
