University Libraries Award


This award, as judged by the University Libraries Award Committee, shall be given each year if an eligible recipient is nominated. Any member of the Pennsylvania State University community, at any location, may make a nomination.

Eligibility:  The nominee may be any person in the University Libraries holding a full-time academic or staff appointment, except deans or division heads, who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Professional contribution which has a significant influence on the operations of the Penn State University Libraries; or
  • Significant professional contribution which earns the respect of the University community for the Penn State University Libraries; or
  • Significant contribution to the profession which reflects achievement in librarianship at Penn State; or
  • Outstanding contribution to the Penn State University Libraries as shown by continuing leadership and innovation.
