No, your faculty id card is your library card, don’t leave home without it.

What are your hours?

How can I arrange library instruction for my classes?

Call (610 892 1386) or email the Brandywine librarians with the details of the specific assignments that require information resources.  We will provide instruction related to the specific needs of your students.

How do I place materials on reserve for my classes?

Call (610 892 1386) or email the library staff.  Provide a list of materials, or the materials themselves.  items will be reserved for one of the following limited loan periods:  library use only for two hours; overnight; or 3 days; library use only is the best loan period for high demand materials. More information on placing course reserves can be found on the Brandywine reserves page

How do I request books or other materials to be added to the library?

Call (610 892 1386) or email the Brandywine librarians.  Provide the author, title, or whatever information you have.

How can I request materials from University Park libraries?

Use the I Want It feature in the CAT or the request forms in ILLIAD. Books that do not have to be recalled from another patron usually arrive at our campus library in 2-3 days. Journal articles not already full text online will be scanned and posted to space assigned to you on the ILLIAD website (one-registration is required); you will be notified by email when they are available.

How can I order films and videos for showing in my class?

If the video is not available for checkout from our local library, you may order it from University Park collections, through the Catalog (The CAT), or through MediaTech.  You also have access to a large collection of educational, streaming videos.

How can I arrange a library tour for my classes?

The library does not provide tours of the facilities.  We do provide instruction in the identification, retrieval and evaluation of information if you have graded assignments that require the use of information resources.  Call (610 892 1386) or email the Brandywine librarians to find out about our instructional offerings.

What is LionSearch?

LionSearch is the Libraries multisource search system that provides access to the Penn State library holdings, the catalog of other libraries, and online subject databases, many of which have full text available. You can connect to LionSearch through the Vairo Library home page.  You can access all of the services from your office or home, if you are connecting through your Penn State Access accounts.  If you connect through other internet service providers, some licensed databases may not be accessible to you.  Call (610 892 1386) or email the Brandywine librarians if you need help accessing LionSearch from your office or home.
