Use the Penn State Online Catalog, the CAT, to find books, music, DVDs and more.   We recommend using the CAT Advanced Search for the best results.

• Start from the Brandywine Home Page
  
• Click on one of the Library links (you will find one under Academics, one under Quick Links and one on the right margin)
• Click on SEARCH THE CAT in the Start Here box
• Click on ADVANCED SEARCH (located on the right margin of CAT)
  
• Enter the title of your favorite movie into the Keywords box
• Change MATERIAL TYPE to video (*don't forget this important step*)
• Click Search

Once you have reviewed the screencast, follow the steps to search for YOUR favorite movie.  Remember to select the ADVANCED SEARCH option, change IN LIBRARY to ALL and change MATERIAL TYPE to VIDEO.

When your search is complete, select one record representing your video. Click on DETAILS (on the left) and copy the movie title and HOLDINGS information into your word document.  If you do not see a link for DETAILS, you are already on the DETAILS screen.  If your favorite movie is not listed, pick another title to complete the exercise.

FYI:  As a Penn State student, you have access to library materials at ANY Penn State location.  To request a book or video from another Penn State campus, use the I WANT IT button (if you do not see the I WANT IT button, click on DETAILS on the left hand side of the screen). You will receive an email when the item arrives.  Come to the front desk WITH YOUR ID CARD to check out the item.
