America: History & Life indexes scholarly research on topics in American and Canadian history.

Historical Abstracts indexes scholarly research on topics in world history from 1450 to present.

New York Times Historical (1851-2006) provides a digitized image of every backfile issue of the New York Times, including news stories, editorials, photos, graphics, and advertisements.

Biography & Genealogy Master Index (BGMI) is an index (full text not included) to biographical information about influential people worldwide. Check The CAT for availability of specific sources at Penn State

ProQuest (Multiple Databases) is a multidisciplinary database of news and journal articles on topics in the arts, health, law, public policy, science and technology.

Arts &  Humanities Databases

Literature Online indexes secondary sources and primary texts in English and American literature.

MLA International Bibliography indexes journal articles, dissertations, and books pertaining to modern literatures, folklore, film, drama, languages, and linguistics.
