DeFluri Seminar Room
The Richard F. DeFluri Seminar Room can be reserved for team or group study. Please check the room availability calendar online and stop by the Business Library reference desk, or call 865-6369, to make a reservation. The seminar room is equiped with:
- Conference table and seating for 13 people
- Computer workstation with Internet connection (requires Penn State Access Account UserID & Password.)
- Additional equipment includes: whiteboards, a DVD/VHS player with TV, a projector for use with laptop computers, an overhead transparency projector, and a podium
Quiet Study Areas
- 58 carrells for individual study

Computers
- Most workstations require a valid Penn State Access Account UserID and Password, and provide:
- Access to many of our licensed databases
- Access to publicly available sites on the Internet
- Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel)
- To save files, users are reminded to use their own storage media:
- Three workstations, designated "LIAS Express," do not require UserID and Password, and provide:
- Access to many of our licensed databases
- Access to publicly available information on .edu and .gov websites
- Limited availability of other Internet resources
- Workstation with a large monitor for individuals with visual impairments
Photocopiers
Black and white photocopiers are available in the Business Library.
- Coin payment: 10 cents per page
- ID+ card: 8 cents per page
- LionCash card: 8 cents per page.
Printing
Scanner
An 11X17 flatbed scanner is available for student and faculty use. To save files of scanned images, users are reminded to use their own storage media:
Telephone (Cell Phone Lounge)
- Free calls to on-campus phone numbers
Wireless Environment
Access to the wireless network requires:
- A laptop with wireless capability.
- A Penn State Access Account & password.
- The free VPN (Virtual Private Network) client software loaded on the laptop.
The VPN client provides for a secure network connection between a user's laptop or other hardware and Penn State 's VPN server. It allows access to Penn State networked resources that are restricted to Penn State IP addresses. Downloading instructions are at: http://aset.its.psu.edu/vpn/ The VPN Client and instructions are also available on the Pak-ITS CD available through ITS consultation centers.
