Penn State University Libraries - Marking of Scores For Patron Requests

NOTES:

• Scores requested by a patron are typically placed in reusable gray envelopes that have already been barcoded.
• Do NOT put a title label on the front because the envelope will be reused.

Procedure

1. Change the Home Location of the score to Pattee-W2.

2. Change and override the attached Item ID number (Barcode) to the Item ID on the envelope by scanning the barcode.

3. Count the parts of the score and then include this number on a “Check For Parts” label under the envelope’s barcode.

4. Place the score parts in the envelope.

5. Print the Call number.

6. Apply the Call number label on the front of the envelope (lower, left-hand corner) on the mylar.

7. Staple the call number flyer and the binding flyer together and give them to the Bindery for their future use.
