There have been reports of two Macro Express macros that don't activate when issuing their shortcut keys. It isn't known why or what is causing it. The code in each appears to be correct. Neither macro is in the available "master" sets.
Solution: At present, both macros work when they are set to a scope of global. If you experience a similar problem, consider changing the scope to global. Please also report the problem.

Acquisitions apparently changed the policy for the date format in the 541 field so that it now appears as only four digits. This affects three different macros: 541 Paterno, 541 UP Default, and 541 Petrilla. The first two are found in the Common macro file, the latter in the Special Collections macro file.
Solution: These macros have been replaced with a hard-coded "2009" in subfield d of 541. In the future, when the fiscal year changes you will have to manually edit the macros with a new date. They are available on the Downloads page.

Electronic theses are now considered published items, and as such, require a full 260 field. The Thesis Call Number macro assumed only a subfield c would be found in 260 and cannot accurately obtain the date from a 260 field containing subfields a and b.
The macro has been revised to look only at the end of the field for the last five characters (date + period). The new macro is available in the symphony-thesis.mex file on the Downloads page.

The AutoIt script Create653 was originally designed to work in the Firefox browser. It fails to insert semicolons where appropriate while copying date from Internet Explorer.
The script has been updated to handle copying data from both Firefox and Internet Explorer. The new version of this script is now available on the Downloads page.

Macro Express macros stopped working in Workflows. Numerous tests were performed and it was determined that the problem was with Privilege Guard.
DLT added a new rule to allow Macro Express to run with Admin rights. They should now work. Restart your computer if they don't.
December 2011-January 2012
The AutoIt script Create 653 stopped functioning like it should and was producing erroneous results in creating the 653 field.
The ETDA website has gone through a display change and the text the script copies is now almost entirely different from what it used to be. The script has been updated to handle the new display and will work in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
