Macros
So, who wants to remember 72 million different shortcut keys? If you answered "not me" to this question than you are in luck because Macro Express can make popup menus. With one shortcut key you can have all of your macros appear in a popup window and all you need to do is pick which one you want to run. This page shows you how to make your very own popup menu.
Note: You can also decide that you don't even want to remember the shortcut key for your popup menu. You can do this by having Macro Express run it from the System Tray. See: Putting Your Popup Menu in the System Tray.
Step 1: Click on the New Macro button from your toolbar. It should look like this:
Step 2: A window will appear which will be asking for an activation method and a hot key. Choose Popup Menu as your activation. Then select a hot key. We have chosen Ctrl+Z as shown in the figure below. Next, click on the Build Menu button.

Step 3: The next window that appears shows the Popup Menu Builder. There are two areas of importance here. The top portion is the Available Macros area and lists all macros that are available in your set. The bottom portion is the Macros in Menu area and lists all macros in your popup menu. Initially there should be nothing listed here. Between the two areas are a number of icons used for movement between the two areas. There are two insert selections, one for inserting a macro before a selection in the popup menu and one for inserting below a selection. The add selection adds a macro to the end of the popup menu list. The remove icon removes a highlighted macro from the popup menu list.
Additional icons are located to the right of the Macros in Menu area. These are used for moving macros up and down a list so that you can sort your popup menu anyway you like.
In the figure below, we have added four macros to our popup menu. When you are finished, click on the Properties tab.

Step 4: Now click on the Properties tab. Give your popup menu a nickname and choose how you want it to display. In the figure below, we chose "Nickname and Scope" and an example of what it will look like appears to the right of the display selections. After you are finished with this, click on the Scope tab.

Step 5: Now click on the Scope tag. You are given four possible choices. Global means that the macro will run anywhere and in any program. Global Except means it will run anywhere and in any program except for those that you select to exclude. Window Specific means that the macro will only run in the window with the same window title you select. Finally, Program Specific means that the macro will only run when a selected program is running (this is based on the .exe filename only). For this macro, choose Window Specific and click on the Select button.

Step 6: After clicking the Select button, a window will display showing all of the windows currently active on your computer. Select "SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows" from the list as shown below. If WorkFlows is currently not running on your computer, it will not show up in the list. If this is the case, you can type in "SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows" in the Selected Window(s) field at right.

Step 7: When you selected the window title from the list, it appeared in the Selected Window(s) field at right. Next click on either Add button. Our selected window will show as below. Macro Express automatically defaults to have "Run If On Top" selected. This means our macro will only run if WorkFlows is the topmost window on our screen. This is exactly what we want. You may also select additional windows for your macro to run in at this point, but for this example, we only want it to run in WorkFlows, so click on the OK button.

Step 8: We are now finished with our popup menu. The next step is to save it. Click on the save button on the toolbar.
The save button looks like this:
If you forget to save it, Macro Express will prompt you to save it when you attempt to leave the Macro Express editor.
When you are finished and your macro is saved, you can return to your list of macros by clicking on the Macro Explorer icon in the Actions panel as shown below.
