Macros
This page assumes you already have a popup menu or are familiar with making one. If not, please see: Creating Popup Menus.
You decided that you no longer want to remember all 72 million shortcut keys. You also decided that you don't want to remember ANY shortcut keys. After all, when your brain is filled with MARC tags, obscure cataloging rules, and instructions for tying shoelaces, who has the brain space for more things to remember?
Now you can have your popup menu appear on the System Tray. All you need to do is remember to click on it in order to use it. If you don't even want to remember this, then it might be time to consider getting rid of those instructions for tying shoelaces or consider getting an extra brain.
Step 1: In the Macro Express Macro Explorer (the default screen that shows all your macros when you first open Macro Express), double-click on your popup menu. When the Popup Menu Builder appears, select the Properties tab. All you have to do to get the popup menu to appear on the System Tray is to place a check next to "Place menu in System Tray" as shown below.

Step 2: Now click on the Save button from your toolbar. Your done!
You should now see an icon that looks like a yellow drop-down menu selection with a red arrow pointing to the right (i.e., some sort of yellow thingy) in your System Tray.

When you run your mouse cursor over it, it will display the nickname you gave your macro.

And finally, when you click on the icon, it will display your popup menu just above the System Tray.

Alternately, while in the Properties tab in Step 1 above, you can give X and Y coordinates if you want the popup menu to appear in another position on your window.
Note: If you close the macro file this popup menu is a part of, the popup menu icon in the System Tray will disappear. If you reopen that macro file, the popup menu icon will reappear in the System Tray.
