Printing from WorkFlows

Printing may be done directly from WorkFlows, through your browser, or a different secondary application. Follow the steps below to set up printing for the first time, or to change the application you're using to print.

Direct Printing

  • Click on File
  • Click on Print Setup
  • Choose Print to a printer (it is not necessary to specify a particular printer)
  • Click OK
  • Print by clicking on the Print button or on File and then Print.

Print Screen

You may choose to print a record exactly as it appears on your screen by using the Print Screen option. You can print the screen through your browser, or another application, such as Word.

  • Click on File
  • Click on Print Setup
  • In the Application to dump screen line, click on the dropdown button to choose the application from which you'd like to print your record screen (e.g., one of your browsers, Word, Wordpad, etc.). If you leave this blank, the Print Screen function will use your default browser.

To print from Word, the filepath will probably be:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 12\WINWORD.EXE

To print from Firefox or IE, the filepath will probably be:
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
    C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

  • Click OK
  • Click on File and then Print Screen.
  • Print by clicking on the Print icon or on File and then Print in whichever application you chose for your screen dump.

Print to an Application

You may choose to print from an application instead of directly to a printer. Note that this option will not print your screen as it appears. It will print the same information that you get when you choose the Direct Printing option.

  • Click on File
  • Click on Print Setup
  • Choose Print to an application
  • In the Print to an application line, click on the dropdown button to choose the application from which you'd like to print (e.g., Word, Wordpad, Notepad, etc.). If you leave this blank, Print function will use your default browser. (Note: Currently, we have a problem with HTML coding showing up when choosing to print to an application.)

To print from Word, the filepath will probably be:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 12\WINWORD.EXE

To print from Wordpad, the filepath will probably be:
    C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe

To print from Notepad, the filepath will probably be:
    C:\WINDOWS\NOTEPAD.EXE

  • Click OK
  • Click on the Print button or on File and then Print.
  • Print by clicking on the Print icon or on File and then Print in whichever application you chose.
