The CAT

You can search The CAT by entering book titles or authors' names. Authors' names should be entered last name first and titles should be entered without the initial article (the, a, an...).

Examples:  
Tawada, Yokobridegroom was a dog
Japanese + (translations into English)
Izumi Kyoka


To do a subject search, it is important to know the LC subject headings. You can also "Browse" by subject headings, such as:

Japanese literature
Japanese literature -- 20th century
American fiction -- Asian American authors
