Diversity Studies Room
The Candace and Patrick E. Malloy, III Diversity Studies Room grew out of the Libraries' African American Studies Room, which resided in Pattee Library prior to the library expansion project completed in 2000. As part of this extensive renovation of Pattee Library and creation of the new Paterno Library, the University Libraries envisioned a larger, more usable, and more centrally-located space dedicated to diversity studies. The scope of the room was broadened in the process to represent all areas of diversity . The first exhibit in new space opened in September 2000. The Malloy Diversity Studies Room offers study space and computer terminals for public use. Exhibits in the room usually feature materials from the Libraries' collections.
