The Obelisk is one of University Park's oldest surviving structures. Built in 1896 to showcase the many building stones of Pennsylvania, the Obelisk monument still serves as a teaching tool and testament to the state's mineral resources.
Find out what minerals are important to the production, transport and decorating of your average Christmas tree! Happy Holidays from the EMS Library.
