Information on all areas of engineering and technology can be found in the Engineering Library (325 Hammond Building). A large reference collection of handbooks, directories, and catalogs is available, as are numerous abstracts and indexes that provide access to the engineering literature. Engineering databases are available on the LIAS E-Resources List, on compact disks, and through online search systems.
More than 500,000 technical reports are housed in the Engineering Library, which is a depository for publications from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Department of Defense and the National Technical Information Service. The collection includes technical papers from societies such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Industry and military standards and specifications are collected selectively by the library. College of Engineering theses and dissertations are housed here. In addition to photocopiers, the library has desktop and portable microfiche readers, and several microfiche and microfilm reader/scanner/printers.
The Engineering Library is located on the third floor of Hammond Building on the Burrowes Street side of the building. There is an elevator immediately outside the entrance.
