Web of Science is an index to the articles and papers of over 10,000 high impact journals and a number of conferences. You can search by keyword, author, publication, etc. It also gives you the ability to analyze your results to find journals that publish a number of articles in the subject, institutions that do research in the field, funding agencies, and more.

Step One -Select Web of Science from the Database list

Select Web of Science from the databases by title list on the home page.
Web of Science will be under the "W" section

Step Two - Go to the Search option on the Web of Science and type in your search topic

Points to Remember

  • Web of Science is selective -it does not cover all journals or conferences and does not index reports
  • Get it! Works in WoS so give it a try
  • You may save your results in a number of formats - check the options at the top of a record
  • Use the suggestions on right side of an article record or the left side on a results display to help find additional information on your topic
  • See Web of Science -Advanced Features mini module for additional information
