The Facilities Administration Department was established in 1989 to perform all facilities planning and design, including new construction and renovation, and to manage all facilities maintenance, safety, security and telecommunications requirements and programs within the Penn State University Libraries at all locations. This department plans, initiates and tracks progress of all facilities-related work for the University Libraries. This department is the liaison between the University Libraries and the Offices of Physical Plant and Telecommunications, as well as other Penn State departments, building professionals, contractors, and vendors as required relating to the facilities projects and programs within the University Libraries.
