From Google Team co-manager Lisa German
Dear colleagues,
A couple of you have asked me, in light of the Court's rejection of the Google Settlement Proposal, whether we are going to continue to send book to Google to be scanned?
I wanted to let you know that we are going to continue. The Google Book Project is a CIC initiative and the agreement that was reached in 2007 is still valid and we continue to operate under the terms of that agreement. This has been a tremendously beneficial initiative for the community at large and you all can take credit for that. You're doing a lot of work!
For more information on the settlement, please consult the Authors Settlement Resources page on our website. And please feel free to email Ann Snowman or me with any questions.
