Focus on Assessment - Aug 10, 2009

The Library Assessment and Metrics Council is up and running. As a newly-formed council, we
are striving to define our role so that we can provide leadership and coordination of assessment,
metrics and data-gathering activities across the Libraries. One of our goals is to lay the
foundation for a culture of assessment within the University Libraries. To do that, we need to
know what your assessment needs are. Please send your ideas and suggestions to the Council's
global email (ul-assessment-council@lists.psu.edu).

We are also in the process of planning first-round discussions with several libraries, departments
and/or groups, so you may be contacted by Sydney Bennington in the near future to schedule a
time to meet with Council members.
